When I first entered the market, I told myself I was “trading.”

But if I am being honest, I was gambling with charts.

I chased fast profits, entered random setups, increased position sizes emotionally, and believed one big trade could change everything overnight. Some days I made money and felt like a genius. Other days I lost heavily and blamed the market.

There was no consistency.

No structure.

No risk management.

Just emotional decision-making disguised as trading.

And it took me a long time to understand the difference between gambling and running trading like a real business.
