Leadpoint System, a blockchain technology company, participated in NexTech Week Tokyo 2026 Spring, where it confirmed the local applicability of its blockchain-based carbon data management platform, CarbonFleet, and its enterprise digital asset wallet platform, Funet OneWallet.

According to Leadpoint System on April 29, NexTech Week Tokyo is one of Japan’s largest technology-focused exhibitions, showcasing advanced technologies including quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain.

During the exhibition, Leadpoint System held various business discussions with Japanese companies and institutional stakeholders, focusing on carbon reduction data management, MRV response, evidence and history management, and transaction support structures based on its proprietary blockchain mainnet technology.

Japan is entering a significant transition period this year in terms of carbon market systems and corporate carbon management frameworks.

Japan’s GX-ETS operated as a voluntary participation scheme from 2023 to 2025 and entered its mandatory phase this month for large-scale emitters above a certain threshold. As a result, companies in Japan’s energy, manufacturing, transportation, and infrastructure sectors are facing growing needs to respond to carbon emissions calculation, reduction performance management, verifiable data acquisition, and credit utilization strategies.

In response to these market changes, Leadpoint System introduced CarbonFleet as a platform designed to support Japanese companies in managing carbon reduction performance and securing the reliability of carbon data.

CarbonFleet is a service that manages carbon reduction activities based on transportation and operational data, while connecting the calculation, evidence management, verification, history management, and transaction support processes for reduction performance within a single platform.

Leadpoint System said that, at the exhibition, it confirmed strong interest in CarbonFleet’s carbon reduction data management structure, blockchain-based history tracking, potential linkage with energy and transportation data, and scalability toward a carbon credit marketplace.

In particular, as Japan’s GX policies, J-Credit system, corporate ESG disclosure requirements, and supply chain carbon management needs converge, securing the reliability and usability of reduction data has emerged as a critical challenge beyond simple carbon emissions calculation.

CarbonFleet can serve as the carbon data management infrastructure required by Japanese companies in this context.

For example, transportation companies, logistics operators, energy companies, and manufacturers can systematically manage reduction activities based on operational data generated at their business sites and establish an evidence management framework that can be linked to local systems such as J-Credit in the future. In addition, CarbonFleet can support the prevention of data tampering, history tracking, prevention of duplicate use, and management of verification histories through a blockchain-based record structure.

“Japan’s mandatory GX-ETS and the expanded use of J-Credit are expected to rapidly materialize corporate demand for carbon data management,” said Dohyoung Kim, CEO of Leadpoint System. “CarbonFleet can become a platform that enables Japanese companies to manage their carbon reduction performance not merely as reports, but as verifiable data assets.”

“Through this exhibition, we confirmed local interest in the reliability of carbon reduction data, blockchain-based history management, and linkage with transportation and energy data,” he added. “Going forward, we plan to further define CarbonFleet’s application model for the Japanese market through cooperation with local partners, PoC initiatives, and reviews of potential linkage with relevant systems.”

Funet OneWallet also attracted attention from local stakeholders for its potential in stablecoins, digital asset custody and management, enterprise wallet infrastructure, and integration with Web3 services.

As Japan continues to refine its regulatory framework for digital assets and stablecoins, Leadpoint System plans to further advance Funet OneWallet as an enterprise wallet infrastructure that can be linked with financial institutions, exchanges, Web3 companies, and digital asset service providers.

Building on its participation in NexTech Week Tokyo, Leadpoint System plans to continue pursuing a localized commercialization strategy tailored to Japan’s demand for GX transition, carbon data management, and digital asset infrastructure.
