Iran has not decided whether to join new peace talks with the US, according to a BBC interview with an Iranian official. The ceasefire-by-April-30 market now sits at 30% YES, slightly lower following the news.

The market for Iran agreeing to end uranium enrichment by April 30 is at 24.4% YES, up from 22% a week ago despite the uncertainty around talks. The permanent peace deal market for April 22 has dropped to 3.1% YES, down on skepticism about near-term diplomatic progress.

The ceasefire market has volume at $54,670 in actual USDC daily, with $841 required to move prices 5 points. The uranium enrichment market is thinner: $13,425 in actual USDC, $1,417 needed for a similar price shift. The largest recent move in the peace deal market was a 4-point spike, showing how sensitive these contracts are to any diplomatic signal.

Iran’s indecision could lead either way: talks proceeding would point toward de-escalation, while a breakdown risks renewed hostilities if the ceasefire lapses. At 30¢, a YES share on the ceasefire market pays $1 if hostilities end by April 30, a 3.3x return. For that bet to make sense, you’d need to believe talks will resume and progress rapidly within 10 days.

Watch for confirmation of Iran’s participation in Islamabad talks, statements from Pakistani mediators, or any shift in rhetoric from either side. Any of these could move prices sharply.
