Bitcoin Will Survive Quantum. It Might Not Survive the Government.
A response to “Modern Money Only Works by Cheating” and why I think the author underestimates two critical risks.

If you are a reader of mine, you know that I am a die-hard crypto supporter. I don’t trade, I don’t wear Bitcoin clothes, and I haven’t painted my car orange. I simply think we need a monetary system that people can utilize when their governments are abusing them. Like in Argentina. Like in many African countries. Like in Canada. Soon, like in America.
The best use case for crypto is that people can move to a globally utilized financial system that governments can’t control (i.e., not stablecoins), that uses way less power than the banking system by a factor of 20, that helps level out volatile power delivery systems, and that can empower smaller, revenue-poor countries like Bhutan, El Salvador, and others.
I say all this because I don’t want my comments about this article to come across as anti-crypto.
This was a really good article about Bitcoin.
