I would like to explain to those asking why we decided to move toward an Istanbul branch model under our California headquarters structure instead of building a fully separate Türkiye-centered operation. 🌍
While our California headquarters continues operating, we have been evaluating different regional hubs for a long time in order to become more active across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, stay closer to global exhibitions and events, strengthen collaboration between our engineering teams, and build a more sustainable international structure.
Dubai was strategically important for us for a long time. However, with rising geopolitical tensions, the war atmosphere moving closer to the region, sudden regulatory changes, and increasingly unpredictable decision-making environments, we began questioning the long-term sustainability of remaining heavily positioned there as a technology company.
This is why Istanbul became a stronger operational alternative for us.
Istanbul offers:
🌍 a strong Europe-Asia connection
✈️ global transportation accessibility
👨💻 technical talent and engineering potential
🤝 easier access to exhibitions, investors, and business development opportunities
However, while building a stronger structure in Türkiye, we also faced another reality:
The macroeconomic pressure is becoming increasingly heavy.
Living costs, rent prices, staffing expenses, operational costs, access to financing, and cash flow management are now placing extraordinary pressure on companies.
This pushed us to analyze the bigger picture more deeply.
What we currently see:
📉 serious erosion in purchasing power
💵 sensitivity around the USD/TRY balance
📈 persistently high inflation
🏦 reserve and financing pressures
📊 aggressive movements in interest rates and bond markets
💰 growing liquidity needs across businesses
Even if some indicators appear strong on paper, there is still visible structural stress within the real economy.
Honestly, for many companies today, the issue is no longer only growth — it is sustainable survival.
And unfortunately, while people continue getting poorer and companies remain trapped under rising operational costs, economic recovery also becomes psychologically more difficult.
This situation is no longer unique to Türkiye either.
We are beginning to see similar signals across the U.S., Europe, and many other regions:
📈 rising living costs
⛽ expensive energy
🥔 increasing food prices
🏦 debt pressure
📉 weakening middle-class purchasing power
The global economy may be entering one of the most fragile and sensitive periods seen in many years.
