10 Years Too Late: Why I’m Finally Taking Bitcoin Seriously
--
Ten years ago, I knew about Bitcoin.
Not in the “I heard about it once” kind of way. I understood what it was. I watched it grow. I saw the conversations happening online. I saw people dismiss it, laugh at it, argue about it, and quietly accumulate it.
And I did what a lot of people did.
Nothing.
If I had taken Bitcoin seriously a decade ago — even modestly seriously — there’s a very real chance I would be a millionaire today.
That’s not exaggeration. That’s math.
But this blog isn’t about crying over missed opportunities.
It’s about what happens next.
Starting Late Is Better Than Never
For years, I told myself the same things:
- “I already missed it.”
- “It’s too expensive now.”
- “Maybe it’s over.”
- “I’ll wait for a better entry.”
Meanwhile Bitcoin kept doing what Bitcoin does: surviving, recovering, and continuing to force its way into the global conversation.
At some point I realized something important:
The biggest mistake wasn’t missing Bitcoin early.
The biggest mistake was continuing to wait.
So this blog is my public commitment to finally taking the journey seriously.
What This Blog Will Be
This won’t be a fake “crypto guru” page.
I’m not here pretending I know exactly where Bitcoin is headed next week, next month, or next year.
Instead, this will be a transparent journal of:
- My Bitcoin investments
- My wins and mistakes
- Weekly portfolio updates
- Market reactions and news
- Emotional decisions versus rational decisions
- Lessons learned along the way
Every week I’ll post updates tracking:
- Whether my portfolio went up or down
- What likely caused the movement
- Major Bitcoin and macroeconomic news
- My thoughts on where the market may head next
I’ll also be using AI tools to help analyze:
- Market sentiment
- Bitcoin news
- Economic trends
- Bullish and bearish factors for the upcoming week
Not as financial advice — but as a way to stay informed and disciplined.
Why I’m Writing Publicly
Because investing alone is easy.
Staying consistent is hard.
It’s easy to get emotional when prices crash.
Easy to get greedy when prices explode.
Easy to disappear after a bad decision.
Writing publicly creates accountability.
Maybe this journey ends with massive gains.
Maybe it teaches painful lessons.
Most likely, it’ll be both.
But either way, I want a real record of the process.
The Goal
I don’t know if Bitcoin will make me wealthy.
What I do know is this:
Ten years from now, I don’t want to look back and realize I ignored the opportunity twice.
So this is the start.
One week at a time.
One investment at a time.
One lesson at a time.
Welcome to the journey.
